  4. Sooo... I know I want to explore how directors elicit emotional responses from viewers in Social Awareness films (Films about social issues) but I don't know quite how to formulate a clear, focused topic... Any ideas?!

  5. Okay, 2 ideas: I'd either like to focus on psychological thrillers such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (American), Abre los Ojos (Open Your Eyes, Spanish), etc.
Or develop a topic that focuses on how lighting, contrast, and general mise en scene is used to portray insanity with Ran (Japanese), the Shining (American), A Woman under the influence (USA), and Through a Glass Darkly (Swedish). There are so many more movies in this subject area so if you know of any better one's let me know!
